A2Z World Without Walls (A2ZWWW) was registered in Scotland in December 2008. The Founding Trustees are Colin and Laura Shreenan and they take a hands-on approach to the work of the Charity, allowing for the personal touch and reliable feedback. All donations are delivered to, or through, trusted individuals who ensure the help gets to where it is needed most.
In partnership with its supporters A2ZWWW is able to help many people in need, including orphans and vulnerable children, the elderly, the destitute and the disabled. A2Z WWW focuses on EDUCATION, HEALTH, COMMUNITY and ORPHANS (see projects).
The main aims and objectives of A2ZWWW are listed as follows:
(a) the promotion of education in and knowledge and understanding of the culture, way of life and traditions of the peoples of the developing world, and, in the spirit of the Christian Gospel, the provision of aid to those peoples in financial and other ways and the advancement of citizenship and community development in Scotland and in the developing world by forging links between the two in order to provide opportunities for people to realise and develop new and existing skills through experience to enable them to participate more effectively in their community and in wider society; and that through the following activities:-
(i) the advancement of education, training or retraining;
(ii) the relief of those in need by reason of illness, disability, old age, poverty, lack of employment or lack of educational or other specialist skills through the provision of vital resources, equipment and skills, including agricultural equipment or equipment vital to safe water supplies and sanitation and medical equipment, skills and facilities essential to the saving of lives and the promotion of health in the poorest communities (including the provision of or support for local clinics and surgeries), the provision of financial assistance, technical assistance or other advice or support, including support in establishing and sustaining their own businesses;
(iii) the provision of assistance to secure or to improve housing conditions including the provision of refuges and orphanages for adults and children who would otherwise be homeless, and for the maintenance, improvement or provision of public amenities, and the maintenance, improvement or provision of recreational facilities both for adults and children;
(iv) the advancement of human rights, conflict resolution or reconciliation by offering financial assistance and the provision of counselling and dispute resolution services to those involved in legal dispute.
(v) the furtherance of the Christian religion and the provision of education about the Christian religion including the establishment of classes or schools and the distribution of resources and materials with the aim of spreading knowledge about an dinterest in the Christian religion; and
(b) to promote such similar charitable purposes, objects or institutions and in such proportions and manner as the Trustees see fit.
