Health

Low life expectancy, rampant disease, high rates of maternal mortality and a third of the country’s children suffering from chronic malnutrition are only some of the mountainous challenges facing the people and the health professionals of Zimbabwe.

Health and Medical workers are themselves becoming a limited resource as many go abroad to find work. Those who remain are working long, hard hours and with little if any personal protective equipment, e.g. disposable gloves, aprons, hand soap and paper towels.

Patients may be expected to provide their own linen, food and even medication. Those things that can be purchased may well be beyond the reaches of the majority of Zimbabweans due to the high unemployment rates.

A2ZWWW is committed to helping, where it can, to improve the service - every little helps!
